Bijan Anjomi: Author and Speaker, Alleged Rapist…
I’m not entirely sure as to why I will always pay attention to stories following this template, save that they seem to feed my basic underlying cynicism about ‘motivational speakers’ and the industry they’ve created.
Bijan Anjomi is a motivational speaker accused of luring two women to Toronto hotel rooms under the guise of helping them “create what [they] desire in life.”

Anjomi’s bio on the site says he’s “an internationally known author, healer, personal coach, speaker and visionary who is making a difference for world peace.” Anjomi has also been a bouncer, bartender and a real estate agent. His bio says he’s a certified hypnotherapist who won the “Natural Division” of the Mr. Universe competition in 93, 94 and 2000.
A blogger called Anjomi a “cult leader” back in 2006 in this post. I won’t clutter a tumblelog entry with what “L. Britt” wrote save to quote the last line of the post: “STAY AWAY FROM THE KOOL-AID.”
